Fourth Street'S dei initiative
Our Journey - How It Started
Inspired by the national focus on Diversity Equity and Inclusion and our employees’ and clients’ inquiries, Fourth Street resolved to evaluate our organization to better understand Fourth Street’s current position related to DEI and what steps we could take to develop a more diverse and inclusive culture. In early 2021, Fourth Street began looking for a partner to assist in evaluating our current environment and developing a DEI initiative. Our search led to Mary Bennett from MLBennett Consulting. Under her guidance, Fourth Street began our DEI journey which included reviewing our organizational information, interviewing the Fourth Street team, gathering and analyzing data obtained through the interview process and review of organizational documents. The results were summarized in a Findings and Recommendations Report which Fourth Street used to develop a Business Case and a Three-Year Action Plan.
Our Vision
Foster an inclusive culture that encourages different perspectives and enables all employees to thrive professionally and personally. Reach into our community to clearly demonstrate support for diversity and inclusion.
On April 5, 2022, Fourth Street held its first DEI meeting, shared our DEI vision with our team and the journey began. In one year, our organization has worked together to accomplish many of the DEI goals identified in our Three-Year Action Plan.
Our Progress
Three Year Action Plan Overview

Making an Impact
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the visits from Fourth Street Performance Partners! They engaged the students and taught them important life skills. They took the time to get to know the students, and remembered little things about each child to make them feel special. We have so much fun and look forward to the visits each month! Thanks for everything!”
- Jennifer Young; Adopt-a-Class Teacher
“Thank you so much for spending part of your evening with us at NKU Finance and Accounting Student Association! I personally enjoyed learning about other career opportunities outside of public accounting.”
- Becca Wilson, Senior Accounting and Business Analytics major
Looking Forward
We still have much to do but we are proud of how far we have come in a year. We are looking forward to continuing to make Fourth Street’s DEI Vision a reality through the execution of our Three-Year Action Plan.
